South Flank is one of the worlds largest iron ore hubs. The total project cost $3.4bn with the target for first ore to be extracted in 2021. The South Flank rail project is part of the 1000km rail infrastructure that connects BHP’s mining and port facilities. GM rail was engaged to provide expert knowledge on the construction strategy, contractor engagement and then further Construction Management personnel for the delivery of the track infrastructure of this Client’s key project.
